I will answer emails sent to me prior to 7:00 pm.  I understand that some of you may have sports and are not home by this time, so please try to look at your homework ahead of time and ask questions while in class or have a friend email me.  I will be happy to reply to emails in the order in which they are sent.  I am aware that you may be involved in clubs that meet at lunch - however - your academics need to always be your main priority.

How to study for a math test

Studying for a math test begins with the first day of every unit.  Every day you should follow these simple study habits to ensure your success.

  • Take notes in class
    • Notes should consist of:
      • Vocabulary/Formulas
      • Examples of problems for homework
  • Review your vocabulary and notes before doing your homework
  • Do your homework every night
    • Show all your work
    • Place a star by any problem you could not solve
    • Take 10-15 minutes to review your notes and homework
  • The next day in class
    • Ask for the problems that you starred when you review your homework
  • Preparing for the test (This should be done two days before the test)
    • Review vocabulary/formulas - make 3x5 flash cards
    • Review your notes
    • Try problems from your homework assignments, the Unit Review, and the extra practice problems in the back fo the book
    • Star all the items that you want clarified BEFORE taking the test
    • Come in for tutoring if you are struggling in any way

Review and Memorize!

Know your stuff!!
